Additional Household Convenience Center in Mountville
The C & D site on Parmer Road - off Highway 109 just west of Mountville school - has been expanded to take in household garbage and limited recycling items. Operating hours are Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 7:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Composting
Americans throw away about 10% of the food they buy at the supermarket. This results in dumping the equivalent of more than 21 million shopping bags full of food into landfills every year.

Bring One for the Chipper
On Saturday, January 2, 2010, Keep Troup Beautiful, in conjunction with the City Landfill Service, conducted its annual BRING ONE FOR THE CHIPPER Christmas tree recycling event.

Great American Cleanup in Troup County
Keep Troup Beautiful brightens the spring season with the Great American Cleanup. The largest annual community improvement program encourages volunteers to pick activities to beautify Troup County. Groups can participate by picking up litter, planting gardens or painting unsightly buildings or other projects. Click here for the most recent GAC News Update!
